Q1: We have encounter communication error in topology, can you help?


A1: In general, user can check hardware first, for example, cable, SFP or NIC. If hardware works well, you can use software (Wireshark, https://www.wireshark.org is recommended) to sniffer you network. Cable loop or protocol failure will cause broadcast storm. Korenix switch can also provide usefal information like port status, front panel LED and ping test to help troubleshooting. 

Q2: How to configure "Trunk Ring" (Ring + LACP)?


A2: There are two parts in this question: First, port trunk configuration, second, Ring configuration. For example, you can set port 5,6 in first group (Static or LACP), port 7,8 in second group. Once finish, just select port 5 as Ring Port1 and port 7 as Ring Port2. Now the switch has four ring ports: 5,6,7,8. 

Q3: How do I reset the switch to factory default by reset button?

A3: Press reset button which on the switch over 7 sec to reload the factory default. Then, your switch will reload factory default configuration. You can login with default username & password. 


Q4: Does the switch module show different information when I connect to WEB gui?

A4:The I.E. Cache may cause this issue.

This how to will give you the setps to delete all or individual sets of files.
01. Open Internet Explorer.
02.
    IE 8: From the tools menu choose Internet Options.
    IE 9: In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose internet Options
03. On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
04. Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
05. Check the Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History boxse.
06. The Form data, Passwords, and inPrivate Filtering data boxes may be left un-checked. you can check them to delete this data if you so choose.
07. Click Delete.
08. When finished, click ok to return to your Internet Explorer window.
09. Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen.

Q5: Does teh switch module show different information when I connect to WEB gui?

A5: If you try to clean I.E. casue and there's still the same problem, you can try to clean the Java cache.
01. In the Java Control Panel, under the General tab, click settings
02. In the Temporary Files settings dialog box click Delete Files
03. In the Delete Files and Applications dialog box check all boxes and click OK
04. Once deleted click OK and close out the Java Control Panel.
